Nissan and EVgo – Five Years of EV Infrastructure Leadership – and Counting!
When Nissan, one of the largest automakers in the world, decided to incorporate fast charging as an incentive to new car buyers, it was only natural that they should partner with EVgo, one of the nation’s largest public fast charging networks.
This ongoing partnership began in 2015, with the launch of the Nissan No Charge to Charge program. The program provided drivers who purchased or leased a new Nissan LEAF® before July 7, 2019 with two years of free fast charging at any EVgo station. At the time, EVgo and partner network stations were available in 55 markets across the continental U.S. and were accessible to 93% of LEAF owners. In 2018, the program was expanded to provide fast charging to Nissan LEAF owners living on the Hawaiian Islands of O’ahu, Maui, and Hawai’i via EVgo and Greenlots fast charging stations.
"Our relationship with EVgo will bolster the public fast charging network available to EV customers ahead of increased market demand and reinforce our commitment to an all-electric, zero-emissions future."
-Mary Barra, Chairman and CEO
"Nissan is a long-time leader in EVs and this new partnership with EVgo will give Nissan LEAF owners confidence powered by tens of thousands of chargers across America."
