When Nissan, one of the largest automakers in the world, decided to incorporate fast charging as an incentive to new car buyers, it was only natural that they should partner with EVgo, the nation’s largest public fast charging network.

This ongoing partnership began in 2015, with the launch of the Nissan No Charge to Charge program. The program provided drivers who purchased or leased a new Nissan LEAF® before July 7, 2019 with two years of free fast charging at any EVgo station. At the time, EVgo and partner network stations were available in 55 markets across the continental U.S. and were accessible to 93% of LEAF owners. In 2018, the program was expanded to provide fast charging to Nissan LEAF owners living on the Hawaiian Islands of O’ahu, Maui, and Hawai’i via EVgo and Greenlots fast charging stations.
