EVgo’s primary goal in collecting information is to allow us to offer products and services which are relevant to consumers like you. Personal information also allows us to provide services and features intended to meet your needs and to customize our products and services to make your experience positive and efficient. Based on your use of our products and services and our business relationship with you, we may collect different types of personal information such as contact information, billing information and personal history to allow us to better serve you.

Other information we collect when we provide you service includes when you access the charging network, the duration of your charging session, how much power you consume during a charging session and the location of the network charging station you utilize. We may also collect information on your vehicle that enables us to identify it and the state of charge of your battery at the beginning and end of your charging session.

Some of this information is automatically collected through systems or tracking tools such as cookies, tracking pixels, and web beacons. Cookies allow us to track aggregate and individual use of our services and to enable features to our web pages. When third party advertisers have placed advertising on our web pages they are using their own mechanisms, like cookies, to do so. Third party cookies are subject to the privacy policies of those entities placing the ads and are not a part of this Privacy Policy.


We may use your personal information to contact you. We may respond to your comments or requests for information or we may contact you if needed in the course of fulfilling a service request or processing your order. We may also use your personal information to confirm and verify your status as our customer. We maintain information about you in our business records while you are a customer, or until it is no longer needed for business, tax, or legal purposes. We have implemented encryption or other appropriate security controls to protect personal information when stored or transmitted by EVgo.

We may share information with third parties and business partners that is in aggregated or anonymous form so that it does not divulge personal information, and may work with those entities to do research, including for marketing purposes, and provide and improve products and services.  When we employ non-EVgo companies to anonymize or aggregate information on our behalf, the requirements for sharing personal information with non-EVgo companies apply.   • When necessary to comply with the law, an order from a court with competent jurisdiction or regulatory agency;

If EVgo or substantially all of its assets are transferred through merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or any other change of corporate control then personal information will be transferred with the assets and personal information may be disclosed as part of any such transaction.


We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. If in the future we wish to use your information for unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in this Privacy Policy we will notify you of our change.

If you do not agree to any of the terms in this Privacy Policy, EVgo is unable to provide its services and products to you so please do not submit any personal information to EVgo or request to become a customer if you don’t agree to this Privacy Policy.
