What is BMW Charging Powered by EVgo?
BMW Charging Powered by EVgo is a customized charging solution designed to make it easy for BMW customers to charge their battery electric vehicle (BEV) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) outside of their home, anywhere they go. Drivers simply download the “BMW Charging” app for easy access to charging across the US through the EVgo and other partner networks. BMW Charging gives drivers access to more than 38,000 chargers through EVgo and partner networks.1 If you purchased or leased a new BMW i3 on or after January 1, 2021 you receive a $100 charging credit which you can use for one year upon enrollment.2

Who qualifies for the BMW Charging Program?
BMW Charging Powered by EVgo is available exclusively for BMW battery electric vehicle and BMW plug in hybrid vehicle drivers in the US.3
How do I sign up for BMW Charging Powered by EVgo?
Qualifying BMW customers will receive a Personal Activation Code and link to the BMW Charging sign up portal in an email provided by BMW. The email is sent a few days after vehicle delivery to the email address you provided during the purchasing process at your BMW dealership. Please note that you can’t enroll for BMW Charging if you don’t have your Personal Activation Code. In case you didn’t receive the email, please contact BMWiConcierge@bmwusa.com.
What if I'm already an EVgo customer?
You will be able to connect your existing account with your new BMW Charging Powered by EVgo app. Simply follow the instructions in the email provided by BMW and the BMW Charging enrollment website.
I did not receive an email from BMW containing my Personal Activation Code – who should I reach out to?
Your BMW email containing the Personal Activation Code might take a few days to arrive into your inbox. If you have not received any communications containing the code, please call BMW at (855) 236-1025/ or email BMW at BMWiConcierge@bmwusa.com.
Why do I need to put in a credit card number to activate my EVgo account?
Your credit card number is required for any charging activity. You will only see a transaction if you initiate a charge.
Where can I find more information on rates and how much EVgo charging costs?
Enrollment in the BMW Charging plan will be based on Pay As You Go rates. Please see https://www.evgo.com/charging-plans/for current pricing in your area. Rates on third-party roaming network's chargers will vary. Please remember to check the pricing before beginning any charging session on a third-party network charger, which are the responsibility of other charging companies.
How can I filter to include EVgo partner networks?

How are EVgo fast chargers powered by renewable energy?
Every gigawatt-hour of charging delivered on the EVgo fast charging is powered by 100% renewable energy. Our renewable energy credit (REC) program ensures every mile of charging helps finance renewable energy projects across the U.S.
I am having an issue starting a charge, what should I do?
Call EVgo Customer Support at (855) 509-5582. They can issue you a remote start for EVgo chargers at no additional cost.
My battery is low, and I need to charge. What should I do?
Search for the nearest chargers in the BMW navigation system or within the BMW Charging app.
You can also contact BMW Roadside Assistance using the BMW Connected App or selecting it in the Connected Drive menu of the vehicle control display. Additionally, you may call by telephone at1-800-332-4BMW (800-332-4269).4

How do I receive my $100 in charging credits?
If you are eligible, meaning you purchased or leased a new BMW i3 on or after January 1, 2021 you receive a $100 charging credit2. This credit will appear in your account upon successful enrollment in BMW Charging Powered by EVgo.

Based on the average fast charging session length of 30 minutes, you can expect to receive up to 12 complimentary charging sessions on EVgo fast chargers. Rates on third-party network's chargers will vary. Exact number of charging sessions will vary based on length of sessions and actual rates in each market. Please remember to check the pricing before beginning any charging session on a third-party network charger5.
What rates apply to the credit?

What if I select the EVgo member plan?

The $100 credit will not apply to your monthly membership ($7.99/month). Your $7.99 credit will be applied first and any additional charging within the month will draw from your BMW Charging credit at member rates.
