Sundance Banks

Sundance Banks is Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of EVgo, providing strategic corporate legal guidance, including oversight of litigation and compliance. Mr. Banks has nearly two decades of legal experience advising high-growth technology and clean energy companies through periods of rapid expansion, complex financing transactions, and strategic transformation.  

Prior to joining EVgo, Mr. Banks served as Senior Vice President of Legal at Sunrun Inc., the nation’s leading home solar, battery storage, and energy services company. Before Sunrun, he was Director of Corporate Legal at Dolby Laboratories, and earlier in his career, Mr. Banks practiced corporate and securities law at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, representing emerging growth and public technology companies in strategic financings, public offerings, M&A transactions, and corporate governance matters.  

Mr. Banks received his B.A. from Tulane University and his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in California.
