Position Summary:

EVgo is seeking a talented Software Architect with 6+ years of experience designing, architecting, and developing platforms, client portals, internal and analytics platforms. This role is critical to our software initiatives.  You will join our tech-savvy management team and leverage your API knowledge to help us build out microservices from Apollo GraphQL servers using JavaScript/Node.js.   In this role, you will influence technology decisions as we continue our transition from outsourcing into a modernized internal system. Our ideal candidate is a proven software architect who has hands-on development experience with building Web APIs using GraphQL.  As a member of our team, you will engage with stakeholders to help provide creative solution, build, and deliver mission-critical scaled systems.


  • Expert and advisor designing services using GraphQL APIs with JavaScript/node.js.
  • Leverage best practices to ensure scalable cloud engineering/API/integration solutions
  • Collaborate with technical and functional teams to ensure effective delivery of systems.
  • Design, develop, and deploy API's and/or Microservices to integrate across multiple new and existing data sources and business applications.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and guide architecture, such as design patterns, platform and tools, and implementation approaches.
  • Able to do hands-on coding with Node/JavaScript/GraphQL and AWS services (Lambda)
  • Collaborate and partner with engineers and cross-functional team members to achieve objectives, design, and deliver cohesive business systems and enhanced user experience.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5-8+ years' experience working as part of the development engineering team.
  • Fluency in one or more Object Oriented development language and strong working knowledge of JavaScript, libraries, and frameworks (React).
  • Expertise in cloud microservices environment using GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda and others.
  • Experience building enterprise-scale integration through API's and services using ESB.
  • Experience with DevOps (CI/CD, test automation, release management) and Agile development methodologies/tools.
