Position Summary:

EVgo is seeking to add an experienced Manager, Legal Contracts. Reporting to the Senior Director, Charging Infrastructure, Legal, you are a seasoned Real Estate Contracts profession who understands site contract drafting, revision, document management and related information flow. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in leasing and contracts, with strong operations processes and able to explain complex legal issues to business clients, management and colleagues. This position will be a key member of the team driving the growth of charging infrastructure development partnering with our Charging Infrastructure Team which engages Real Estate partners for charger installation. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide contract review, negotiation, and overall support for various Site Development leasing contracts
  • Track contract pipeline and report results.
  • Analyze and identify key terms and appropriate changes to standardize and negotiate contracts to completion.
  • Streamline contracting processes to facilitate the growth of EVgo’s charging portfolio including supporting improvement of standard agreements, or processes.
  • Prepare, review and revise site development agreements upon request.
  • Master business and legal issues critical to EVgo’s site contracting and develop in-depth knowledge base to become a key contributor to EVgo’s site contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with IT, business teams and potentially outside consultants to implement contract management software and internal processes to optimize functionality.
  • Create and deliver training materials for EVgo’s Site Development Sales Team

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience with at least 3 years of legal contracts experience.
  • Contract management experience; familiarity with Salesforce and Conga highly preferred.
  • Experience in both corporate and start-up/growth company environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Tools and legal software tools (databases, e-signature tools, etc.).
  • Strong communicator able to work within the ecosystem at EVgo to solve problems.
  • Analytical Thinker: Intellectually curious, passion for learning new content and concepts and ability to think creatively about solutions.
  • Customer Centric: Strong cross-functional team player and collaborator.
  • Drive for Results: Drive for high performance, takes responsibility and works towards planning targets, overcoming obstacles, setbacks, and uncertainty.
  • Business Acumen: Able to contribute to EVgo’s legal strategy and align the strategic priorities of the legal department and its partners.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Facilitates Collaboration, actively engaging others in decision making and sharing best practices.
  • Willing to develop a thorough understanding of EVgo’s market position, capabilities, and accounts for these when editing contracts.

Bonus:

  • Previous Site Developer Contract experience and EV or Solar Industry experience.
