Position Summary:

With our continued growth, we are looking for a Solutions Analyst to join the EVgo FP&A team.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a clean-energy company by providing analytical support in the areas of Project data analysis including cost and schedule reporting. Reporting to the Sr. Director of FP&A, the Sr. Financial Analyst will be the subject matter expert for all aspects of Project data in Salesforce and will work closely with Capital Planning, Data, and Operations teams. 


  • Leverage Salesforce and Sitetracker project data to maintain weekly and monthly project forecasts, including quarterly capital plan projections.
  • Develop and maintain project cost reporting, including actuals vs. budget and details by cost type (design, installation, equipment, utility-related costs)
  • Perform deep-dive analyses of data associated with site acquisition and construction project timelines, milestones, internal processes, external stakeholders (e.g., utilities), etc. to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize Excel, Salesforce, and Sitetracker plug-in (training available) to turn complex data into informative and easily understandable reports, trackers, and proposal-style presentations.
  • Perform data validation / data updates on an as-needed basis and assist in developing solutions towards automation or partial automation of these processes
  • Anticipate needs and proactively develop analyses leading to insights that support the department’s execution against project/program plans and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and champion best practices for data management, maintenance, and utilization across the department.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of data analysis and/or project or program management, with cross-team involvement.
  • Experience in Accounting and/or Finance preferred
  • Exceptionally strong business acumen ability to see and communicate the “what” and “why” behind the numbers, ability to connect the dots between metrics and results.
  • Multi-dimensional data analysis experience including knowledge of common statistical methods.
  • Expert user of Excel and Salesforce
  • Experience with Netsuite and tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other cloud-based platforms a plus.
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and ability to establish strong relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to think creatively and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive communication and self-motivated.
  • Able to source, organize and synthesize data to anticipate needs, solve complex problems, and identify opportunities successfully.
  • Adept at managing relationships in a collaborative environment with a distributed and diverse workforce.
  • Strong planning with an innovative and inquisitive mindset.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced “go big” environment.
