Position Summary:

EVgo is currently hiring for a Warehouse Manager in Riverside, CA.  The warehouse is a new facility that will serve as the main distribution point for the continental US.  This role will be essential to our evolving operation and provide a great opportunity for a candidate that embraces challenge, is open-minded to rapid change, regularly contributes ideas for improvement, and has a strong sense of process ownership and accountability for results.  As this is a new role, the ideal candidate must be eager to develop plans and procedures, identify the means to measure performance and establish benchmarks for process improvements.

Essential Job Duties
  • Manage weekly shipping and receiving workload. Must ensure all scheduled activities can be executed with available resources.
  • Develop the warehouse layout for optimal workflow and compliance with safety guidelines (local fire codes, OSHA, etc.).
  • Establish the standard operating protocols for all warehouse operations – including those at regional or overflow 3PL locations.
  • Develop monthly capacity plans for spikes in supply or demand.
  • Develop operating budgets for additional labor and equipment purchases.
  • Ensure transaction and inventory accuracy. This role will manage the inventory counts for all locations and be deeply involved in quarterly audits with the accounting team. 
  • Establish key performance metrics and the processes to achieve them.  This role will be involved in the ISO9001 certification process and subsequent efforts to maintain compliance.
  • Hiring and training of additional staff.
  • Provide any logistical support for other departments in the company, and administrative support for business continuity when needed.
 Job Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate is a highly communicative and proactive team player. This role interacts daily with the Logistics Coordinator, Construction project managers, the Field Operations team, and members of accounting. 
  • Ample experience working with ERP and WMS systems (preferably NetSuite, Salesforce, 3PL Central) and is familiar with the inventory audit process.
  • 2-3 years of experience managing/supervising staff and developing hiring plans.
  • Must be able to remain organized in a rapidly changing environment, and with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will know how to synthesize information from multiple sources to prioritize and meet goals.
  • Proficient in using MS Excel (and other MS Office Suite products).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Operations Management/Industrial Engineering or a similar field of study is preferred.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift - forklift operator certification is preferred
  • The ideal candidate can easily transition between office/administrative tasks and physical labor throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
