Position Summary:

Drivers of electric vehicles need a place to charge, whether at home, at work, or on the go. We are currently seeking a Manager, Charging Infrastructure Training to join our Charging Infrastructure team to play a key role aimed at supporting the growth and development of our team. You are customer-centric, empathetic, energetic, agile, strategic, and highly motivated.. Responsible for developing and executing new hire experience and onboarding, leadership development, team development, and contributing to diversity & inclusion efforts.

The Manager, Charging Infrastructure Training must deliver excellent immersive, engaging, and effective blended learning experiences. A successful candidate will have strong organizational skills to scope, design, develop, launch, and analyze the effectiveness of learning content. They will bring a drive for reshaping learning experiences at EVgo and a passion for our mission.  This position is remote in the United States.

Create a great training curriculum

Our team needs an excellent foundation on which to build from. This means thinking holistically about how to onboard a new member of our team in a remote environment in a way that is engaging and effective. Once the foundation is built, they will need ongoing training and development to be agile with the changing industry, learn and develop new skills, and keep working at peak performance. We need a great training curriculum to support today and tomorrow’s success.

Build Effective Teams and Drive Performance

We need someone who can develop and execute training to help us achieve those ambitious targets. They need to be able to develop, coach, and motivate a high-performing team and make sure they have the tools, resources, and support needed to achieve their goals. The successful candidate must reinforce a culture of team excellence by supporting the team and individual goals, holding the team accountable to defined performance standards, and demonstrating a bias for action by quickly prioritizing and executing on new programs, concepts, and processes.

Effective Communicator

The Manager, Charging Infrastructure Training needs to be able to communicate effectively by delivering clear and compelling messages to all EVgo employees. You’ll need to be able to value the different perspectives and goals of individuals within the organization, understand the various needs of the different teams, and effectively provide training documents that honor the needs and perspectives of the various partners.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging, gamified learning experiences and activities that enhance learner development, employee experience, and retention
  • Consult with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and others across the organization to identify and create accessible and effective blended learning solutions
  • Design and deliver learning products in a variety of formats including graphics, audio, video, and animation technologies
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to identify areas of improvement or development
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to understand performance gaps and recommend potential solutions that meet business needs
  • Take complex requests/requirements and break them down into actionable tasks
  • Manage and track team projects to ensure they stay on track and the team has adequate support and room to deliver
  • Lead change management efforts and take action that minimizes disruption to project work as priorities shift
  • Design training curricula within time and budget constraints
  • Champion the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) process and consistent documentation across the team
  • Produce physical and digital educational material (e.g. videos and case studies)
  • Onboard new Site Developers, Development Engineers, Project Managers, and Portfolio Account Executive team members
  • Collect feedback from trainees and managers about training courses and make improvements to the programs
  • Report on the impact of training programs

Required Skills and Experience

  • B to B sales experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, with experience leading or training teams in a high-growth, remote environment preferred
  • Demonstrated experience developing self-paced blended learning experiences, storyboards, job aids, online tutorials, assessments
  • Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, influence, and hold teams accountable to achieve a common goal; strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Successful history of building relationships; evidence of being a well-respected, trusted partner, and someone others want to work with demonstrated ability to set priorities, respond to changing demands from multiple sources, prioritize and manage multiple projects, and adhere to business-critical deadlines
  • Innovative and resourceful, and effective at using data, logic, and instincts to identify problems and execute solutions
  • Sound analytical skills; ability to understand and explain complex concepts
  • Strong initiative and excellent judgment in decision-making
  • A passionate, dedicated, and ethical approach to management and operations
  • Outstanding work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond to get projects done; strong sense of urgency and follow-up
  • Experience with CRM software and related programs
  • An uerndstanding of building & electrical infrastructure is a plus
  • Experience selling to or managing large, national portfolio accounts a plus
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable and safe driving record
