NRG eVgo – The power to be free to go anywhere in your EV

You may have heard that California reached a milestone – 100,000 plug-in cars are now on California roads. Governor Brown is not stopping there. He signed six bills in September during National Drive Electric Week to strengthen California’s EV market, including new incentives for HOV lanes.

At NRG eVgo, we’ve hit several milestones in California too, and we believe they are getting us toward the Governor’s goal of 1.5 million EVs on the road by 2025.

•NRG eVgo now has 80 fast chargers operating in CA.

•Over 20,000 charging sessions were provided in the past three months in California – an increase of 140% from the previous quarter!

•We’re retrofitting our stations across the state to be compatible with the new models entering the market like the BMW i3, Chevy Spark and Volkswagen eGolf. (Have you heard about our partnership with BMW?)

CA_SocialPost_80We’re also doing everything we can to broaden access to reliable EV charging so that everyone can charge up. In fact, we’re now proud to say that more than 20% of our current network of fast chargers are available at malls, grocery stores, and retailers in California’s lower-income communities.
